Welcome to the Tie My Tubes Directory!  With the overturning of Roe vs. Wade in 2022, times are scary for Women in the US.   The mere thought of going through pregnancy in these Post Roe vs. Wade times is so scary for women that a lot of women are making the conscious, informed choice to get permanently sterilized instead.  How many times have you heard of a women who has a non viable pregnancy being unable to get the life saving healthcare that she needs because the hospital refuses to terminate a non viable pregnancy (ovarian pregnancy, Fallopian Tube pregnancy, etc.) and either tragedy happened, or the woman had to be brought to the brink of death before the Hospital would terminate the non viable pregnancy, because the Hospital and Doctors were afraid to lose their licensing if they terminated a non viable pregnancy?

Hopefully everyone has heard of the TikTok Tubal List.  It is an invaluable list of doctors who are willing to perform sterilization on women age 21 or older, regardless of marital status, child free status, or number of children.  Some doctors will sterilize 21 year old women, other doctors prefer to sterilize women age 25 or older, still regardless of marital status, or child free status or number of children.  This Directory is the expanded version of the TikTok Tubal List.  However, TikTok is always at risk of being banned in the US for one reason or  another, and we as women cannot afford to have this valuable resource to be lost forever, should TikTok be banned in the US for one reason or another.  I expanded the TikTok Tubal list to a more stable domain name, so that women from all over the US can easily have access to it.  I have expanded the TikTok Tubal List to include a comprehensive Database of doctors, separated by State and City, to make it easier to navigate.

This is where the Tie My Tubes Directory needs your help.  Women everywhere helping other Women get access to the Healthcare that they deserve.  Many of these listings are Patient Submitted, meaning that a Patient found a doctor who is willing to sterilize them age 21 or older, regardless of marital status, child free status, or number of children.  This information needs to be shared with this directory.  The second type of listing is a Provider Submitted listing.  This is when a Provider finds this Directory and asks to be added to the Tie My Tubes directory.

Let's spread this information far and wide to every woman that we know so that this directory can have the most comprehensive listings of Providers so that women can THRIVE!

Tie My Tubes Directory Is A Right

The expansion of this comprehensive, publicly accessible directory of sterilization-friendly doctors proves invaluable.  Such a resource would offer numerous benefits:

Firstly, it provides clarity and efficiency in a complex healthcare system. Instead of navigating a maze of unhelpful consultations and disheartening rejections, women could quickly identify providers known to respect their reproductive choices and offer sterilization without unnecessary hurdles. This saves precious time and emotional energy for individuals already contending with the anxiety of an uncertain reproductive landscape.

Secondly, it promotes informed decision-making and patient advocacy. A directory can include essential information beyond just contact details, such as a doctor's approach to patient autonomy, their specific sterilization methods offered (e.g., bilateral salpingectomy, which involves removing the fallopian tubes and offers additional cancer prevention benefits), and any specific requirements or counseling processes. This empowers women to select a provider that aligns with their values and healthcare needs. Furthermore, the existence of such a directory implicitly encourages doctors to be more transparent about their policies regarding sterilization, fostering a more patient-centered approach to care.

Thirdly, it helps to dismantle existing biases and stigma. By highlighting doctors who are openly willing to perform sterilizations on consenting women aged 21 or older, regardless of their parental status or marital situation, the directory challenges the deeply ingrained societal assumption that all women must desire children. It normalizes the choice of permanent contraception and validates women's right to determine their own reproductive paths. This can contribute to a broader cultural shift towards respecting individual autonomy.

Fourthly, in a post-Roe world, where reproductive rights are increasingly fragmented and vulnerable, a directory serves as a crucial safeguard for bodily autonomy. For women living in states with abortion bans or severe restrictions, the ability to permanently prevent pregnancy becomes even more critical. It offers a definitive method of contraception that is not subject to political whims or potential future legal challenges that could impact other forms of birth control.

Of course, a directory of this nature would need to be carefully curated and regularly updated to ensure accuracy and reliability. Doctors would need to opt-in, affirming their commitment to providing sterilization services to consenting adult women. Mechanisms for patient feedback could further enhance its utility and trustworthiness.

In conclusion, the overturning of Roe v. Wade has created a pressing need for clear, accessible pathways to comprehensive reproductive healthcare. For women aged 21 and older who have made the deeply personal decision to pursue permanent sterilization, a dedicated directory of willing and affirming doctors is an indispensable resource. It's a practical, empowering solution that supports bodily autonomy, navigates systemic barriers, and helps to ensure that women can confidently make decisions about their own lives and futures, even in an increasingly challenging legal and political climate.
